Evaluation.
In this assignment we have been asked to make a fantasy landscape, and it was to be based on anything we wanted it to be. We had 6 weeks to complete this assignment.
My fantasy landscape was photographed in 'Rosliston Forestry Center'. I photographed it like this because i already had ideas of what i wanted to add to my image. I have based my landscape on 'Alice in Wonderland' this is because i like the theme and i like the idea of drawing the images and putting them onto my landscape.
My idea developed throughout out this assignment because at the start i wanted to do alice in wonderland, but i didn't have any other ideas of what images i could use. As we got further into the assignment i found it easier because i had linked the two assignment that i was set together so they were both based on the same subject to make it consistent and easy. I had drew the images and scanned them into my computer to make my work original.
Thoughout this assignment i have used several different pieces of equipment. I used an 'Epson Scanner' to scan my images on to my computer. Also i used 'Photoshop' to edit my pictures and combine them into one image onto my landscape. I had to select the part of my drawing i wanted to add to my landscape and by doing this i had to use the 'magic wond' and then after i selected the parts i wanted, i would go to 'select' and then 'inverse' after doing this i had to copy and paste it into my landscape.
I had a few problems doing this because the scanner stopped working so i had to get a different scanner to scan my images on to the computer. Also i had problems with putting my images onto my landscape and colouring them in but to solve this i ask for help and then it worked so i carried on doing it the same way.
Eleanor Hardwick, influcend me to do my fairy-tail landscape because some of the photographs she had taken were related to 'alice in wonderland' because one image was taken in the woodland areas and was make to be a fairy tail. This inspired me quite a bit due to me having the same idea. Her work is also original and shes made it her own which is very interesting to see what shes developed and why she has done this.
Im a pleased with my final landscape, because it has worked out well. This is because all of the images are my own, and i have made it original but link it to 'Alice in Wonderland'. If i was set this assignment again i could add more of a variety of different images that relate to 'Alice in Wonderland'. Also i would change the theme and make it different and so i can add different images to it, to make it more appealing to the viewer.
